Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM)

Our team members have substantial experience working with MTM on projects, as well as interfacing to operations, engineering, infrastructure, customer experience etc.

Roles include:

  • Program Manager and MTM Bid Lead, Caulfield to Dandenong Project.
  • Stream lead for Projects, Network Asset Management, Infrastructure and Rollingstock
  • Stream lead and Integration Manager for High Capacity Signalling/ HCMT / Depot, Dandenong Transformation Project (PPP)
  • Project Director, Digital Trains Radio System (DTRS) Project. Project Director role involved being accountable for all project activities and deliverables, as well as managed all RTO related activities such as MOC, accreditation, Engineering/ Design review with associated waivers, training for all RTO staff, acceptance and handover, commercial amendments to assets / operations / lease, Operational Readiness, occupation and planning management, Steering Committee and Interface with all external stakeholders and authorities.
  • MTM Manager, Planning and Development. Role included leading the team to define, scope, and develop project prospects for MTM/PTV in line with the Strategic Operations Plan.
  • Project Controls Manager -Track Maintenance and Renewals. Role was to manage and lead the finance/budgetary expenditure for the Metropolitan Maintenance and Track Renewals. Responsibility for Reporting, Completions management and Commercial management. This was also inclusive of managing occupations, planning and seeking approvals from the State government to complete works during shutdown periods and during operational train running hours.
  • Commercial and Contracts Advisor. Lead on all commercial and transactional management requirements for Infrastructure Division. Role was to govern and administrate all contracts for projects such as Melbourne underground Rail loop {MURL), signalling upgrades, crossover Installations, station upgrades, track renewals, structures rehabilitation and Carpark program.
  • Interface Controls Manager, Regional Rail Link {Work Package C). The Regional Rail Link project was a $4.7b major railway upgrade. Work Package C covered the Footscray - Deer Park Alliance, which included a rebuild of three major Railway stations, two grade separations {level crossing removals) and 7.5km of new track and major signalling works. Role involved leading a team of MTM Cost Control specialists as well as facilitating planning, procurement and forecasting within the Thiess/Balfour Beatty Alliance to deliver this complex project.
  • Senior/Project Manager, managing a number of concurrent multi-disciplinary projects as part of the construction of Craigieburn Stabling Yard. Roles Included: siding design and construction for 21 train stabling roads; ICT delivery for the site; signaling control room design and construction; and MTM design Interface for the award-winning train maintenance facility at Craigieburn.
